Prof. David Pozo has received the Best Publication Award of the INFORMS ENRE with colleagues Alexandre Moreira (Imperial College London), Alexandre Street (PUC Rio de Janeiro), and Enzo Sauma (PUC Chile) for the paper titled “Reliable Renewable Generation and Transmission Expansion Planning: Co-Optimizing System’s Resources for Meeting Renewable Targets,” and published at the journal IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.
INFORMS is the largest international association for operational research and data science professionals, with nearly 13,000 members from around the world. The INFORMS ENRE (Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment ) is a section of INFORMS that promotes the development and application of operations research/management science methods, techniques, and tools to solve energy and natural resources and/or the environment.
We show how to co-optimizing the expansion of the transmission system and renewable generation capacity to meet renewable targets under high-security standards and correlated renewable uncertainty.
