Vera Islamova

ge4-nhtpr_wVera graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 2017 with a Master of Science degree. Her main research interest was centered on the synthesis of CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) graphene and modification of its optical and electronic properties via functionalization and doping its surface with extraneous admixtures. She also has an expertise in crystalline structures investigation with the scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and other electron microscopy methods.

Vera worked as an intern in Alexander Shapeev’s team, on the molecular dynamics of adsorption of gases on metal surfaces and on the application of machine learning and active learning methods for molecular modeling in 2017-2018.
