The Mobile Robotics lab at Skoltech is looking for an electronics engineer to support our current research in Robotics. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiast of robotics, an independent self-motivated worker and should have good communication skills.
The main responsibilities of the job include robotic platform development/maintenance and laboratory management. Please take a look at the Akula robot to get a general idea of the robotic platform.
The required skills/experience to carry out this job include:
– Electronics (70%): PCB design, embedded systems, MCUs, soldering, cables, etc.
– Software (30%): ROS, sensor drivers, cpp, py, project development, software architecture, git, networks, etc.
– Others including robot design, mechanical engineering, etc. if needed.
The candidate should be familiar with some of these topics, clearly defining their strongest points and should be open to learn new skills. If you are a passionate of doing yourself everything, this is a position for you, since this position requires a little bit of knowledge in many different topics. Knowing about ROS is a plus.
